The Pura Vida
The pure life is the only way of life in Costa Rica. "Pura Vida" is the national expression heard all over the country that is always said with a smile.
It translates literally to Pure Life and is portrayed in how the locals live their lives. Most all locals I have met here are extremely happy and proud of their country and eager to shareits natural beauty.
They truly enjoy life and appreciate everything they have.
The "Pura Vida" is much like the "Aloha Spirit" in Hawaii and is more than just a saying; but rather a philosophy of life. Our time here on earth is short and should be lived to the fullest
and enjoyed everyday, so "Pura Vida"!
