About Us

ALLSIDE, S.A. is a small company formed in order to better assist investors in the emerging markets of Central America.  Founding partners Nick Brown of Santa Cruz, CA and Joshua Kanter of Orlando, FL both moved to the small beach town of Dominical, Costa Rica in 2005.  They both were following their dreams in paradise and not to mention surfing everyday.  After deciding this was home they began plans for a unique real estate investment company.  This company would be based out of the Southern Pacific Zone, but also use contacts throughout Costa Rica, Panama, and Central America in order to capitalize on various emerging markets for its clients.  ALLSIDE, S.A. is more than just another real estate brokerage firm and offers a few services that differentiate it from the rest.

Giving Back
We are very fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful place and must show that we appreciate it everyday.  That is why our policy is to give back 10% of all commissions earned to the local community in which a particular property was sold.  For instance if the company were to gain a $15,000 commission for a lot sold in Dominical, then we would donate $1,500 to the local area in the form of computers for the school, playground, or community center.  We believe this approach will benefit the local people and provide opportunity for the children as this area becomes more and more developed.  We can not prevent the development of this paradise, but can do our part to give back and promote responsible developments in the area.

Custom Searches
This market is constantly changing with properties being sold routinely and new listings becoming available. In addition to our numerous listings, we can offer a personalized service to find your specific dream property.  We utilize our knowledge of this area and connections with local property scouts to find the best possible deals for our clients.  Serious investors can give us some parameters a month or two prior to a visit and we will have currently available properties ready to view that fit those specifications.  This will cut down on wasted time and may leave some extra for enjoying your trip.  If the area of interest is outside our zone of expertise we will not hesitate to call another firm that does know that area to find the right property for you. 

Architecture and Building
You bought your ocean view lot for your dream vacation or retirement estate and now what?  We can help assist you through the construction process in a foreign country.  Nick Brown has a background in architecture and construction, which provides a great resource for our clients looking for build able land.  We can also help walk you through the permitting process, have connections to local engineers, and can recommend a quality builder from the area when you are ready. 

Personal Advice
After living here 3 years we have learned a lot and have made numerous connections.  We can share this knowledge with you whether it is recommending an area to travel, place to eat or stay, times of year to visit, etc.  We both have bought and sold personal property in the area are available to answer any questions about the buying or selling process.  We can also assist in the search for lawyers, title insurance companies, and local or international banks.
